Persuasive Essay Writing Idea
1.Students access a variety of different reading and writing apps (teacher chooses list)
2.Students choose a favorite app from teacher list.
3.Students take notes about the app using AudioNote.
4.Students use the T-Chart app to organize the pros and cons of app.
5.Students use a mind mapping app like iThoughts or iMindMap HD to organize their thoughts before writing.
6.Students use Pages or Documents To Go to write a five paragraph persuasive essay answering this question: “Should English teachers use this app in the classroom to help students learn?”
Personifying an Element from the Periodic Table of Elements

1.Students use The Elements: A Visual Exploration to discover a new element.
2.Students take notes about the element using AudioNote.
3.Students use the T-Chart app to organize the pros and cons of the element.
4.Students use a mind mapping app like iThoughts or iMindMap HD to organize information about the app (atomic number, atomic mass, element symbol, etc.).
5.Students use Story Buddy to write a story about their chosen element showing their knowledge of the element’s characteristics.
